Welcome to English 15,the most important class you will take at Penn State. Our section of English 15 is titled "The importance of because" because rhetoric is essentially an argument or a claim that you make inorder to convince others to share your views. This means the most important part of your argument is not the initial unfounded claim --"English 15 is the most important class you will take in your college career" -- but rather the statements that you use to back up that claim -- "English 15 is the most important class you will take in your college career because it will give you skills that will positively affect your perfomance in every other class you take. The Effective use of because will be the core of everything we do in this class.
